CHANNEL VIEW, a new feature that looks for interfering collars. When you get to a hunt, scan with your Alpha 300 to see which of the 100 channels are not being used.
CHANGE MENU BAR at the bottom of the screen. This was unchangeable on the Alpha 200, 200i and all previous handhelds. You can change the menu bar to list the screens you use the most such as the Map, Dog List and Compass.
The Alpha 300 now gives 3 Menu Styles: List, Grid, and Small Grid. The Small Grid just about puts all icons on one screen or you can choose List view or the standard Grid that we have all gotten used to on the 200.

· With the 300, you can send an entire group of dogs from handheld to handheld at one time. You will be able to share entire groups with other 300 handhelds eliminating the amount of time it takes to share a dog one at a time. This feature is not in the Alpha 200 or any existing Garmin handhelds.
· Hunt metrics data shows each dog’s daily hunting patterns and behaviors per hunt, so you can take measures to course correct to help keep them healthy and safe
· Compatible with the Garmin Explore™ website and smartphone app to help you manage tracks, routes and waypoints plus review statistics from the field and back up your device settings
· Tracking and training functions are available only when used with compatible dog collars (sold separately)
